She walks in beauty, like the day
Of pastel hues and balmy wind;
But I have heard some people say
That naturally she’s not soft-skinned;
And ‘cause she wants to #hashtag “slay”,
Countless selfies she’s already binned.
One eyelash more, one blemish less,
She photoshops and smooths her face,
Thankful her hair is not a mess,
But heavily hair-sprayed in its place.
Extensions cling to every tress,
Primed to debut in cyberspace.
With whitened teeth and brightened eyes
And camera angled just above,
She adds her chosen filter – “Rise”,
Finally sure she’s done enough.
She might not appeal to real-life guys –
But at least she’s got her insta-love…
